Mansfield Holiday Inn Evacuated Due to Gas Line Readings Error
Mansfield’s Holiday Inn was evacuated Thursday out of precaution when a technician working on site at the gas mains thought one of the valves reading dangerous levels, Mansfield Fire stated.
The reading was an error, according to the Mansfield Fire Department.

Jake N’ Joes Moving to Foxborough; Eyes November Opening
Jake N’ Joes Sports Grille is coming to Foxborough and will be looking to hire 60 to 65 employees from the area when it gets closer to its November opening, according to Gerrard D. Fruggiero, the restaurant’s manager.
In its application to the town, Jake N’ Joes representatives listed a target opening date of Nov. 21 at its 25 Foxborough Blvd. location – the former site of Piccadilly Pub, which closed in February.
While Jake N’ Joes is described as a sports grille, Fruggiero and owner James Nocera – who also owns The Chateau Restaurant Company – said their restaurants are family friendly and food first.

Easton Man Seriously Injured After Foundry Street Crash
An Easton man was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when his car struck a tree on Foundry Street.
William Martin, 31, was transported via Medflight to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after his Toyota sedan struck a tree in the front lawn of 315 Foundry Street, Easton Fire Captain Tony Gomes said.

Stoughton Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash on I-95 in Westwood
Daniel Timmons, a 39-year-old man from Stoughton, was driving a 2002 Honda motorcycle traveling southbound on Route 95/Route 128 at Route 1 in Westwood when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed off the shoulder of the roadway.
The accident occurred at 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20.
State Police in a follow-up press release on Tuesday, Aug. 21 that it appears Timmons’ injuries are not life-threatening in nature.

Sharon Resident Arrested for Breaking and Entering, Other Charges
After a lengthy investigation by Sharon Police Detective Kevin Bishop, a local resident was arrested on Aug. 16 and faces multiple charges.
The male, Alexander Fotopoulos, 21, of Sharon, was arrested on the following charges: Breaking and Entering Daytime with Intent to Commit a Felony, Larceny of Property over $250 and Malicious Damage to Property.

Mansfield DPW Vehicles May No Longer Have License to Drive
The Mansfield Department of Public Works may have some issues doing their jobs this year, as the Massachusetts Registry of Motor vehicles has informed the town of Mansfield that some DPW vehicles are no longer licensed to be on the roads.
Sidewalk snowplows, front-end loaders and backhoes, according to a statewide order, are no longer able to drive on public roads, according to Mansfield town Manager Ross.

Meet the New Wrentham Public School Teachers
With the start of school quickly approaching, Principal Melissa Peterson of the Delaney School and Principal Stephen Grenham introduced the newest teachers of the Wrentham public schools last night in a meeting of the Wrentham School Committee at the Roderick School.
“It’s been a quite a long time since I’ve been able to say here’s the new teachers of Delaney so it’s very exciting,” Principal Peterson said before introducing the newest members of the Delaney faculty.
There will be eight total new teachers with both schools adding four new members. The new teachers were a result of a long process featuring a large list of applicants
