Midnight will strike for the Dark Knight in Sharon today.

Sharon Cinemas 8 will hold a special midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" tonight, according to a note at the Shaw's Plaza theater entrance.

Tickets are on sale now at normal prices, the note says.

The finale of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy officially opens Friday.

Sharon Cinema 8's Friday showtimes are: 12:15 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 3:25 p.m., 4:20 p.m., 6:35 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., according to movietickets.com.

None of the shows were sold out as of 11 a.m., Sharon Patch was told at the theater today.

The Sharon Public Library also has several Batman comic book trade paperbacks in its collection.
