Longtime Sharon Resident Jean Coffey Dies at 75
Born in Roxbury and raised in Brookline, Coffey lived in Sharon for more than 50 years.
Jean F. Coffey (McGeown), 75, of Sharon passed away on Thursday, March 14 at the Epoch in Norton.
Born in Roxbury, Coffey was raised in Brookline and attended St. Mary of the Assumption High School in Brookline. She has lived in Sharon for over 50 years and worked in the Sharon Tax Collectors Office for many years before retiring.
Beloved wife of the late Bernard F. Mother of Maureen Jackman of New Hampshire, Donna Gordon of Newburyport, Gary Coffey of Norwell, Tracey Coffey of Wakefield, Stephen Coffey of Norton, Karyn Chipman of Stoughton and Brian Coffey of Quincy. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
A funeral mass was heled at Our Lady of Sorrows Church Sharon Monday morning at 10:30, with a burial at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Sharon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
