Friends of Sharon COA Hope Holiday Shoppers Pass Go

Seniors' supporters selling Sharonopoly for $10.

Residents holiday shopping should go directly to the Sharon Adult Center.

The Friends of the Council on Aging are selling Sharonopoly for $10, board member Jane Desberg said Friday.

The proceeds will benefit the Council on Aging and the adult center, Desberg said.

Games are on sale at: Sharon Credit Union, Eastern Bank, the town clerk's office at Sharon Town Hall, Sharon Community Television, Roger's Barber Shop and the Sharon Adult Center.

Produced about two years ago, Sharonopoly is a Monopoly version featuring all Sharon businesses and groups on the properties.

Our Lady of Sorrows Church goes for $260. The Sharon Firefighters Association goes for $220. And the adult center goes for $120.

All the money is stamped Sharon Credit Union. The bank bought the rights to it, Desberg said.

The Friends of the Council on Aging sells the game all year, "but we're making a concerted effort during holiday time," she said.

"I bought two extra games for my kids," Desberg said.
