There's no doubt much of the state saw blizzard-like conditions throughout the day Friday, prompting several cancellations and leading Gov. Deval Patrick to ban vehicles from the roadways as of 4 p.m. Friday afternoon.
So when will the storm end?
White-out conditions are expected to continue into the early morning hours on Saturday, according to the WHDH forecast.
"Winds will gust near hurricane force (74 mph or better) at times along the coast as the storm rounds Nantucket and heads east," WHDH/7NEWS Chief Meteorologist Pete Bouchard wrote in his blog Friday
Snow is expected to slowly taper off to flurries by mid-to-late afternoon, according to WHDH's forecast Friday night. Temperatures will hover around 20-25 degrees.
Storm totals will peak between 18 and 24 inches by the end of the storm.
