1. Attend an early literacy workshop

The Sharon Public Library will host the early literacy workshop "Help Me Get Ready to Read" from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

This program is for adults only and registration is required. Guests are asked to register through the online calendar of events at www.sharonpubliclibrary.org or by calling the Children’s Department at 781-784-1578 ext. 32.

2. Learn about Deborah Sampson

Anna Smith, of Topeka, Kan., comes to Sharon to act the part of Deborah Sampson, the Commonwealth's Heroine, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Sharon.

3. Give blood

A Sharon Community Blood Drive will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. at Victory Assembly of God.

4. Attend the East Elementary School School Council meeting

The East Elementary School School Council meets at 7:30 p.m.

5. Apply for a Senior CharlieCard

Apply for a Senior CharlieCard from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sharon Adult Center and Council on Aging. Applicants must be 65 or older by July 1, and bring a photo ID.
