Tony Funches, the former lead vocalist for the '50s group The Platters, will perform at 2:30 p.m. at EPOCH Senior Healthcare of Sharon.
Funches has performed with The Drifters, The Coasters and The Shirelles, in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and internationally.

The Sharon Public Library is offering a summer workshop for adults on fiction writing.
The workshop meets on June 19, 21, 26 and 28 and on July 3, 5 and 10. The sessions will run from 6 to 8 p.m. in the library's Cynthia B. Fox Community Room.
