"Five Things You Need To Know Today" is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance.

1. Support the Sharon High School swimming teams

The Sharon High School boys and girls swimming teams face Foxborough at 3:30 p.m. at the Hockomock Area YMCA's Invensys Foxboro Branch.

2. Support the Sharon High School wrestling team

The Sharon High School varsity wrestling team competes at Marshfield, against Marshfield, Oliver Ames, St. John's Prep of Danvers and Pembroke at 4 p.m.

3. Enjoy the last day of school before winter break

The Sharon public schools start their winter break after classes today.

4. View an art exhibit

"Merging Paths" is at the Lakeside Gallery at the Sharon Adult Center and Council on Aging. The gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; Thursday until 8 p.m.; Friday until noon; and other evenings by appointment. 5. Explore Borderland State Park

Borderland State Park is open from 8 a.m. to sunset.
