Cyber Bullying Performance to be Held in Sharon This Friday

Deana's Theater will educate students on how to approach cyber bullying and the consequences of misusing online resources.

Students in Sharon will have the chance this holiday weekend to view a theatrical performance bearing an important message.

Deana's Educational Theater is set to perform "Think Twice" on Friday, Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. at Sharon High School.

The performance aims to teach students to engage in the following:

  • Identify cyber bullying and types of bullying associated with it, as well as understand the lasting implications of what is posted online (reputation, school, career, etc.).
  • Learn the important position of bystanders and how their actions can positively or negatively affect the situation.
  • Identify the consequences of sending explicit material on computers and mobile devices, as well as understand the legal consequences of cyber bullying for the instigator, bystanders and victim.
  • Learn how to seek help from school/local resources and how to report abuse.
