Sharon Patch: What is adult day care?
Jennifer Brown: Adult day care centers are designed to provide care and companionship for Adults and Seniors alike during the day. Your loved one can then remain in their home or in the care of their friend or family member in the evening. This creates a tremendous cost savings and allows loved ones a respite.
Sharon Patch: What is your background in adult day care?
Brown: For a majority of my adult life I have worked in the senior care industry. I began at HLA Management, LLC where my interest in senior care living grew. As the company expanded, I rose to the position of Vice President of Operations where I developed, managed and operated several Assisted and Independent Living Communities throughout New England.
In 2008, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Through defeating this disease, my knowledge in providing exceptional care to elders and knowing how people want to be cared for, sets us apart from the rest of the adult day care center owners.
(Brown is also a well know Elder Care consultant and prides herself in being available 24 x 7 for her client.)
