5 Things, Sept. 26: No School Today

The first televised presidential debate happened today in 1960. Find out a few other things in Sharon today.

 

NOTE: There will be no trash pick up today.

1. On this day in 1960, Richard M. Nixon and John F. Kennedy took part in the first televised presidential debate.

2. There will be no school today because it is Yom Kippur . Find out what services will be held and when in the Sharon area.

3. The Sharon Adult Center has "Sit and Be Fit" exercise class at 1 p.m.

4. 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. - The Bookzilla Book Group, it's the biggest, baddest book group in town and it meets at the Sharon Public Library. If you're between the ages of 8 and 11 and like to read, like to talk and like to eat snacks then this book group is for you. Check at the Children's Circulation Desk for this month's selection and to checkout your copy. Pre-registration is preferred. Please let Danielle know about any food allergies, as snacks will be served. Location: Cynthia B. Fox Community Room, Sharon Public Library.

5. Tomorrow evening from 6:30-7:30 p.m. it's the Early Childhood Center Open House.
