5 Things, Oct. 4: Early Release Today

Also today: Temple Israel will hold the Sisterhood Paid Up Supper at 6:30 p.m.

 

1. On this day in 1927, Work began by sculptor Gutzon Borglum on the face of Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills National Forest of South Dakota.

2. There will be an early dismissal at 12:30 p.m. for Sharon students at the elementary and early childhood levels, as well as for students at Sharon Middle School.

3. A pre-kindergarten story time will be held from 1:30-2:15 p.m. at the Sharon Public Library. Story time and craft for ages 4-5.This week's theme: Bats. Location: Cynthia B. Fox Community Room, Sharon Public Library. 

4. At 6:30 p.m., Temple Israel will hold the Sisterhood Paid Up Supper, Sukkah & Berger Hall. Come shmooze with friends, sip some wine and enjoy sumptuous appetizers in the Sukkah. A wonderful dinner will follow in Berger Hall. Exciting raffles and fun Sukkot Trivia. Contact: rhondashoffman@comcast.net.

5. Sharon Middle School, Grades 7 and 8, Open House from 7-9 p.m.
