30 Sharon Town Employees Getting 2 % Cost of Living Raise

Selectmen have approved the one-year contract with the AFSCME union.

Thirty town employees will get a 2 percent cost of living increase starting July 1 under a new one-year contract, Town Administrator Benjamin Puritz says.

The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees union members also will buy their work clothes "on a reimbursement basis from a list established by the superintendent of public works" instead of a vendor, Puritz told selectmen Wednesday night.

Selectmen then approved the deal.
