Senator James Timilty (D-Walpole) joined Public Safety Secretary Mary Beth Heffernan, Colonel Marian McGovern and other top public safety officials last Friday in celebrating the graduation of the 80th Recruit Training Troop of the Massachusetts State Police.

Timilty has served as the Senate chairman of the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security since 2008, the committee charged with considering all matters concerning security services in the Commonwealth.
