Sharon residents Kyle McNeill, Brian Kamp and Joshua Bowman (pictured left to right) are sworn in as special police officers by Town Clerk Marlene Chused on June 15.

McNeill graduated from Sharon High School in 1997, Kamp in 1999. Bowman, a Plainville native, is in the U.S. Army Reserves and served active duty from 2006 to 2010,
including 14 months in Iraq.

All three officers have been through the reserve intermittent police academy and are now ready for duty.

The Special Police Division, under the command of Lt. John Ford, assists and augments regular police during town activities such as the July 3 festivities, town meeting, and other town events as needed.
