Sharon Cub Scout Pack 95 Has Cake Bake Contest

Sharon Cub Scout Pack 95 held its annual parent-and-son cake bake contest April 8 at the First Congregational Church.

Cakes were assigned numbers, and scouts and their families voted by ballot for winners in 10 categories.

Danny Rubinstein's "Sea Serpent," swimming mightily in a sea of goldfish crackers, won Most Original Creation and was voted Pack 95 Cub Scout's Favorite.

Dylan McBurnie's "Pizza Surprise," topped with strawberries and kiwi, won the Most Suitably Named prize.

The Most Patriotic was awarded to Andrew Burton's "Go Celtics."

The Biggest cake was Jordan Baker's NASA "Space Shuttle."

The Flattest was Connor Grew's "Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake," while the Tallest was a fort structure created by Tyler VanHelene named "Battle of the Gummy Bears."

Ben Daggett's "Cub Scout Campout" won Best Cub Scout Theme.

The Yummiest Looking cake was Ian Lewis' open-book cake picturing a camping scene, titled the "Perfect Spot."

Antoine Aoun scored the Best Sports Theme with "The Football Field."
