Numerous reenactors of Deborah Samson and family will post for a picture with the Samson statue in front of the Sharon Public Library on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m.
Samson lived in Sharon for 41 years and was the first woman to enlist in the Continental Army. She was assigned to the fourth Massachusetts Regiment and was honorably discharged when the American Revolution ended in 1783.
Samson was also the first woman to receive a military pension from the U.S. government.
