Hertz Parents and Students Experience Israel in Sharon!

Both the Four Year Old “Busy Bee” class and Three Year Old “Teddy Bear” class at Hertz Nursery School in Sharon recently went on journeys with their parents.  The parent-child education program for the Busy Bees was a Dig and the Teddy Bear’s enjoyed an Expo!  Both programs focused on Israel.

The Busy Bees dug through dirt trying to excavate pieces of clay pots, they reconstructed different artifacts, they left notes on the Western Wall and they ate latkes, falafel and other treats.

The Teddy Bears traveled by an Israeli bus, appreciated an art center, rode camels (not real ones!), participated in singing and dancing and also enjoyed an Israeli café.  Both groups got to experience the excitement of Israel with their parents.

"Teaching and sharing stories about Israel with young children creates positive memories for families to share for a lifetime,” stated Lisa Kritz, Hertz Nursery School Director.  "When a child says to you they can’t wait to take a trip to the “real Israel” you know you've hit a home run," continued Kritz.

Hertz Nursery School is located within Temple Israel Sharon at 125 Pond Street and is open to children aged 2.9 through Transitional Kindergarten.  To learn more about the program, visit www.hertznurseryschool.org or call Lisa Kritz, Director at 781-784-4050.
