The Busy Bee class at Hertz Nursery School in Sharon has been busy learning the alphabet.  While most of the time they learn the letters the traditional ways, they also practice yoga moves for each letter.  Whether they are volcanoes for “V” or trees for “T” the yoga moves reinforce the learning process.  The children learn a new letter and one or two yoga poses each week.

“The children have really enjoyed learning yoga poses,” stated Lisa Kritz, Hertz Nursery School Director.  “Utilizing a creative approach makes them retain the information.  Yoga is a great way to teach children their A,B,C’s,” continued Kritz.
